R.E.D. Friday was created to remind people of our heroes overseas and show that we are thinking of them. People across the country wear red every Friday to serve as a reminder and spread the message of how important it is that we keep our troops in our thoughts. The concept behind the Red Shirt Friday movement is simple – wear a red shirt every Friday to show that you respect and support our troops and veterans. Throw your politics out the door for a moment; the selfless acts of our military personnel have protected our rights and freedoms since the birth of this great nation. The small act of wearing this well-made shirt on Fridays, prompts us to think of those who selflessly served, and are not home; or start conversations that need to be had.
